Tim Allen Finds Fatherhood Easier the Second Time Around

Tim Allen, who became a father again last month, says that the experience has made him a relaxed dad. "I like it. I like it even better the second time," he told reporters at the TV Land Awards, which airs Sunday, April 26, at 8 p.m. EST. "I'm not so worried as I was the first time." Allen, who married Jane Hajduk in 2006, was present at the hospital when she gave birth to Elizabeth, who weighed in at 5 lbs., 13 oz. "It was a marvelous experience and I was the first one that got to look at [the baby] and poke her with a stick," Allen joked. And dealing with the stress of new fatherhood? Hajduk tells PEOPLE her husband is diligently helping out with daddy duty. "He's an incredible dad," she said of Allen, who has a 19-year-old daughter, Katherine, from a previous marriage. "We keep saying, 'do you believe we have a baby?'" "Our life is going to change, and that's a good thing," Hajduk added. "Not that we didn't have an incredible life, but there's more and our love is going to change, and now we have somebody else to love. Like every woman has ever said, you can't believe how much you love this little infant."
