Vanessa Hudgens Is Back for High School Musical 3

What can I say – I sort of expected this, but now it finally happened it gives me a strange feeling. Turns out the Disney Channel pretty much forgave and forgot that nude photo scandal in which High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens was involved two months ago and decide to sign her up, along with co-star Ashley Tisdale for the upcoming third installment of the hit movie High School Musical. A source also reports that in addition to the contract, Vanessa will also receive a "substantial increase" in pay. "Vanessa is locked for the movie" a source stated for Us magazine. "She is very happy that the deal is done. The contract will be signed within the next week. It is almost a done deal". Well, this is definitely good news for Vanessa and her many fans, and it also goes to show that a naked photo scandal once in a while is not such a bad thing, after all. However, many people thought that the scandal will lead to Vanessa being axed by the family-oriented, extremely conservative people at Disney. Back in September OK magazine erroneously reported that Hudgens was as good as gone and that she would be replaced by either Adrienne Bailon or Sabrina Bryan (both members of the Cheetah Girls). But it was not the case.
Sabrina Bryan dismissed the rumors that she was poised to take over from Vanessa at the KIIS-FM Homecoming Concert which took place in Anaheim, California on October 27th. "Vanessa is in control of her own career right now" she stated. "If she decides not to do High School Musical, I can guarantee you that it will be her deciding that. No one will strip anything away from her". In the aftermath of the photos depicting a nude and smiling Vanessa being leaked to the Internet, the Disney star apologized to her fans and kept a relatively low profile – and apparently, it paid off. Officially the casting news was not confirmed. A Disney spokesperson stated for Us magazine that "the cast is still in negotiations and we have no further comment." Hudgens' publicist tells Us: "There is no deal yet. They are still in negotiations". But I have a feeling Vanessa is back in the picture – no pun intended – and headed for more glory.
