Somebody Is Not Wasting His Time Mourning...

Ever since Anna Nicole Smith was found unresponsive in her hotel suite in Hollywood, the media and people in general just couldn't avert their eyes from the tragedy that was her life and, ultimately, her death. Her passing away proved to be even more surrounded by controversy than her life and way of acting has been, making all the headlines in the national and international press for one single reason: no one knows what exactly was that killed her.

Aside from the theories that surface in the media with each minute that goes by, Anna's death also brings new questions to light, like who is the real father of her baby daughter and who will get all the money she had? Alleged 'friends' pop out from around each corner, all of them mourning Anna and claiming they have vital information about her life that, contrary to what we might believe, was shielded from the prying eyes of the public.

Currently, there is a bitter war going on among the men who claim the custody of Dannielynn Hope and Anna's family (her mother and sister), but the louder (speaking literally) combatant is definitely her former attorney, best friend and lover, Howard K. Stern. From the looks of things, Stern doesn't have time to mourn his loved one's passing away... dude's got some interviews to give and some fat checks to cash in.

Although it's not official (far from it), there are many speculations as to the fact that Stern, in fact, is responsible for the death of the glamour model. Many are those who go on record and say (being referred to as 'unnamed/reliable sources', of course) that Stern kept Anna heavily sedated all the time, so that he can run her business and handle all her finances. As we have already mentioned, the police have no confirmation for this and it's all just a theory at this point.

But the fact remains that police investigators found drugs and prescription painkillers in Smith's hotel room and Stern was not able to provide an explanation for why she would have in her possession such a large amount of pills... all on his name! Because dying from an overdose hasn't yet been ruled out, Stern remains one of the key witnesses in the case.

But he won't be spending that much time worrying about it: a couple of days after his lover was found (and pronounced) dead, he is already busy cashing in on the tragic event. Entertainment Tonight has done many interviews with Anna when she was still alive, the most recent one dating from two days prior to her death, and it is to them that Stern will sell his story.

Word on the street is that the attorney got more than $1 million for the tell-all interview. That much money and he didn't even break a sweat! The interview takes place on the flight from Florida to the Bahamas, where he is finally reunited with the one he calls his daughter, Danni. The ET reporter is afterwards invited into the house Stern shared with Anna, where he is granted full coverage to the story.

Said exclusive interview already started airing on ET in small 'chapters'. One excerpt shows Howard on the plane, crying crocodile tears over Anna's death and vouching never to let her mother, Virgie Arthur, take Danni away from him. For a man who has made a living leeching on Anna, he sounds pretty convincing, but not quite. Hm, media whore much?...

Stay tuned for more information.
