We Don't Know Jack about Jack

Jack Osbourne, Ozzy's son, has had a very rough childhood and adolescence, what with growing up with a druggie father, becoming a reality show star and then falling a prey to the same addiction that his father just managed to shake off. Jack, who will turn 21 years in November, decided to put all the misfortunes and hardships that he went through as a teenager in an autobiographical book called '21 Years Gone'. Now a thinned-down and sober version of the person he was at 15, Jack recalls how he tried to commit suicide at that early age. In the book, the reality show star ('Jack Osbourne: Adrenaline Junkie') recounts how he wanted to kill himself in a hotel room. 'That night I started cutting myself. I sliced up my hands with a broken bottle. I then reached for a bottle of absinthe that I had in my hotel room, mixed it with water and chugged as much as I could. It wasn't easy to keep down, but eventually I knew I had drunk a hefty amount, so I looked around and found several bottles of pills: Soma, Xanax and Dilaudid, a pretty potent cocktail of prescription opiates. I helped myself to a handful, swallowed them and climbed into bed. I lay there, my hands bleeding and my head spinning, as I waited for death to take me', the star writes in his book.
